Drum Corps Europe has two types of events that they host among with their national partners, the Indoor Music Games and the European Music Games. On the last Saturday of September, they organise the DCE European Championships.
Each show will feature two categories, firstly the DCI SoundSport category, followed by the Indoor Music Games. Both formats are aimed at encouraging new or former bands/corps to form/reform and get involved in the activity, at a level that is more achievable at this point in time. It can also be used by groups who are going through a rebuilding process as the demands of this type of contest are less than that of the normal marching band/drum corps competition.Read more
The European Music Games are show competitions that are held every summer in various European countries. American-oriented show corps, drum & bugle corps, but also more traditional corps go head-to-head with each other in a competition. They bring innovating shows that consist of an energetic combination of music, dance and choreography. The DCE European Championships are the highlight of the European Music Games. The best corps from all of Europe go head-to-head to win the European titles in the Premier Class (all ages) and the Junior Class (up to 16 years old). It is with great regret that we announce today that Drum Corps Europe will terminate all its current activities effective immediately, including DCE Championships, the DMG/DCN competition and Indoor Music Games. This is not a decision that has been made lightly. In the last couple of weeks before and after our very successful DCE Championships the board has had a lot of discussions about the future of DCE.
The Company came out on top after a thrilling Premier Class finals night in Kerkrade.
