Drum Corps Europe is working on setting up a 'DCE Corps Network'. With this network, DCE wants to modernise and improve its way of communicating with corps.
The DCE Corps Network will be a platform where participants of the DCE European Championships will be kept informed of developments at Drum Corps Europe. The platform will replace the existing DCE email updates.
The DCE Corps Network has a number of advantages. For instance, corps can respond to news and developments on the network, and corps will also be able to easily establish and maintain contact (public and private), both amongst themselves and with DCE.
Corps representative can be kept informed of new messages 24 hours a day, if that is what they want, via email and a (free) text messaging service. The network is also available as an application on the iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, and on Android phones, Android tablets and the Windows Phone.
DCE has been using the new system (Yammer) internally for the management team, the staff team and the judging panel for two months, and their experiences have been positive. Corps will soon be informed about the switch to the network and how this will work.
