Kidsgrove tops DCUK show in both classes
Sep 11, 2012

The Kidsgrove Scouts topped both the Open and Junior Class at the DCUK show in Biggleswade last Sunday. In the Open Class (Premier Class) the corps was the first corps in the European Music Games to pass the 80 points this season.

Kidsgrove just returned from their succesful DCA tour and impressed the audience in Biggleswade with their 'Valley of the Kings' show, scoring 80.20 points. In Dordrecht, the Dutch top competitiors entered the Dutch Championships on Saturday, and scored just below 80. Kidsgrove now leads the European score chart.

The Company was not present at the show in Biggleswade. The Black Knights came second with a score of 77.50. While Nexus beat The 6th at the Stoke show in July, The 6th took revenge last Sunday, but the difference in scores between these corps is small with a margin of only 0.15 points. The Commodores became 5th, followed by Staffordshire Knights, Phantom Knights and Spirit of Coventry.

The Kidsgrove Scouts Juniors stayed on top in the Junior Class, with Black Knights Cadets in second place. Scores and recaps can be found at www.dcuk.org.uk.
