No summer break for European Music Games
Aug 16, 2012

For the first time, there is no real summer break in the European drum corps competition. Last Saturday there was a contest in Ireland, and next Saturday is the next contest of the European Music Games in the French town of Quiberon.

The upcoming contest in Quiberon (organised by Marching Music France) has French participants and a Dutch one: Beatrix Drum & Bugle Corps will travel to Quiberon to participate in the contest as part of their European tour, and will also hold an open rehearsal for interested drum corps fans.

The European competition has fifteen contests this year, the highest number ever. The contests will take place in Great Britain (5), the Netherlands (3), Germany (1) France (1) and Ireland (4), with the DCE European Championships marking the end.

Seven contests are now behind us, and there are eight contest left. A list of contest dates and the scores that have been achieved so far, can be found at www.drumcorpseurope.org/scores.
