Symposium session: public relations
Jan 27, 2010

How can you get exposure in the newspapers? At the European Drum Corps Symposium, this Saturday in London, there will be a clinic session about public relations.

DCE's PR Manager Dennis Naaktgeboren, who is also a reporter for the largest national newspaper in The Netherlands, will explain the different between a good and a bad press release. "Writing press releases may not seem to be that difficult, but using the correct style and words can be the difference between the delete button and a nice news story in the paper", Naaktgeboren explains.

The DCE board member hopes that PR managers of corps will also exchange thoughts about this topic during the session. "We notice a big difference between corps in this matter. We hope that corps will exchange tips and tricks for writing better press releases. At the end of the day, the whole drum corps activity will benefit from that."

During the public relations session, other topics will be discussed as well, like running a good website the use of new media. Has your corps not yet registered for the symposium? Registration will close tonight!
