Task Force reaches out
Feb 4, 2010

During the European Drum Corps Symposium in London last weekend Task Force coordinator Robby Overvliet asked all corps to get involved and utilize the Task Force that was initiated during the 2009 symposium. The Task Force would like to reach out this call for awareness also to those corps who where not present at the annual congres.

In the discussion following the Task Force presentation, concerns where expressed that this body needs to be representing all units in the European certified circuit. At the symposium Overvliet explained how the Task Force has tried to reach out in 2009 and how it has been moderately successful in connecting with all of the drum corps.

In 2009 Task Force was formed with the following representatives (Biana Alewijnse (color guard representative), Robert Swindels (visual representative), John McNamara (percussion representative), Steven Vlaanderen Oldenzeel (Junior Class representative) and Robby Overvliet (Task Force coordinator).

"With the recent resignation of Robert we now have two vacant positions. We are looking for a Premier Class visual and brass representative. Since we want the corps representation as diverse as possible, we specifically ask non-Dutch and non-English corps to respond to our call", Overvliet explained at the symposium.

The Taks Force can be contacted via the Facebook group DCE Task Force or through the email address taskforce@drumcorpseurope.org
